How it works
Choose a school and holiday, then pick a carer for each weekday. “Fill the rest” keeps the days you have already sorted. “Split evenly between parents” replaces other choices with alternating parents who take leave, keeping work-is-closed days as you set them.
Tick “Work is closed” only if the parent covering that day is already off work. Changing the carer clears that tick. Available carers, such as grandparents or holiday clubs, never use leave.
Counts cover the whole selected holiday. Changing schools or holidays keeps your choices for each one. Published half-term and other breaks are included for private schools. Special public-school closure days are not included.
Questions
Which dates are used?
The planner uses the term dates already listed on NoAdmin for your chosen school. A term holiday starts the day after a term closes and ends the day before the next term opens. If next year’s dates are missing, the year-end plan stops at 31 December. It does not guess January dates. Private schools’ published half-term and other breaks are included with their own names and dates. Check the school’s own calendar for changes.
What if my school is not listed?
Choose the public school calendar as a guide and check the dates with your school. We add schools on request: email hello@noadmin.co.za.
Does it count public holidays?
No. Weekday public holidays are labelled and never need cover or leave in this plan. Weekends are left out. A work-is-closed tick also removes leave for the parent chosen on that date; the day still needs someone to cover it.
Is anything sent anywhere?
Nothing you enter is sent anywhere. Your plan is saved on this device only. Anyone with a share link can see the plan, including choices you have made for other holidays. Shared copies do not update one another.
