How it works
Only officially announced payment dates are listed. The countdown uses today's date in South Africa. We don't work out missing dates from a pattern.
Sources and amounts
Dates come from SASSA's statements, including its schedule published by the Department of Social Development. Each month links to its announcement.
Most amounts come from the 2026 Budget Review (new tab). The older-person age supplement, child top-up and foster child payment amount use the linked government guidance.

Questions
Why is the November payment in October?
SASSA moved the November 2026 cycle because of the local government elections. Older persons are paid on 30 October, disability grants on 2 November and children’s grants on 3 November. The separate payment day for grants under review is 5 November. Follow SASSA’s review instructions if they apply to you.
Will the calendar pick up new payment dates?
A calendar subscription can pick up dates after we add an official announcement to this page. Your calendar app decides how often it checks, so changes may take time to appear. A one-off download keeps only the dates included when you downloaded it.
Does this include my SRD payment date?
No. SRD payments have individual dates. Check your own payment date on the official SRD website linked above. Never enter your ID number, bank details or PIN on this page.
