How it works
Stellenbosch doesn’t use APS. It uses your average percentage.
The average is the better of English or Afrikaans, plus your best five other 20-credit subjects, divided by six. Life Orientation isn’t counted.
Engineering ranks applicants on Mathematics % + Physical Sciences % + 6 × your average of your six best subjects (excluding Life Orientation), out of 800.
Science uses (Mathematics × 2 + five other subjects, including English or Afrikaans) ÷ 7.
Every programme is a selection programme, so the averages below are minimums, not guarantees.
This calculator follows the method Stellenbosch publishes for 2027 entry, checked against its own documents: Stellenbosch: Admission and selection requirements · Stellenbosch 2027 admissions booklet. It’s an estimate: the university’s own assessment of your final results decides admission.
